“I love you” may be the biggest lie you’ve been told

Men tell so many lies and we’ve told you about a number of such lies before.

The type of lie we intend to briefly discuss here is different for a few reasons.

1. It is exactly what you want to hear, it is what you crave to be told, it is what you probably have been searching for for a while.

2. The person who tells it to you, in this context, is not necessarily your partner. It’s someone who intends to be your partner.

3. It’s the easiest thing to fall for.

So you’re wondering what this lie is. Well it’s simple and you probably guessed right.

I LOVE YOU.

There you have it. Three powerful words.

It’s sweet to the ears, it’s soothing and reassuring. It’s what a lot of women pray to hear from their partners everyday to keep their emotions in place.

But it’s also damaging and can lead many into the wrong relationship if it comes from the mouth of a liar. So I’m guessing you can connect the dots now.

When a man who is trying to get you to be his girlfriend or partner (whatever term relates to you) uses it when he doesn’t mean it and successfully gets you to fall for it, then there’s a problem.

You can easily spot men like this. One of the ways to do this is to calculate how long he has “been on your case” for. Does it not surprise that you meet a guy and both of you exchange contacts, get talking and two weeks after, he tells you he’s in love with you and cannot live without you. Uncle how? We literally met like one second ago so how can you love me already.

In my honest opinion, a situation like this is too good to be true and ladies need to be extra careful.

Also, there are the ones who say “I love you but I don’t know why”. To me, this is just foolish. I expect you to have a reason or two for loving me. Something must have triggered it, something I always do or say or even my physical attributes. Just have a reason. I believe you don’t just happen on love.

All this is my opinion and you’re allowed to disagree. So drop your comments, ladies. Let’s talk about it.
